What is zero RPM amd?
Zero RPM: Zero RPM enables quiet operation whilst the GPU is under light load and is enabled by default. The GPU fans should spin up as the GPU is put under load and temperature increases. Zero RPM is automatically disabled if any changes are made in Radeon™ WattMan.
What is Radeon WattMan?
Radeon WattMan is AMD's new groundbreaking power management utility that controls GPU voltage, engine clocks, memory clocks, fan speed and temperature1. Radeon WattMan is based on Radeon Software features but offers multiple new ways of precise overclocking controls.
What happened to AMD Wattman?

Wattman is gone, or rather, it is now renamed. Instead of Wattman AMD is now bringing you the Radeon Software Tuning Tab. This provides the same function as Wattman in allowing you to overclock your video card. It now has a simplified view and auto-tuning presets for novice users.
What does VRAM tuning do?
VRAM Tuning allows customization of memory clock speeds and voltages. This option offers two modes for tuning GPU performance, these are: VRAM Frequency (%) – Adjust the VRAM clock speeds using a Max Frequency (%) slider. VRAM Frequency (MHz) – Adjust the VRAM clock speeds using a Max Frequency (MHz) slider.
Does afterburner override Wattman?
Normally the Afterburner will override Wattman settings, so whatever clocks you are setting to Afterburner should be seen to Wattman too without a problem.
Why default WattMan settings have been restored?
When you encounter Radeon WattMan crash error message “Default Radeon WattMan settings have been restored due to unexpected system failure”, don't be panic. It is probably caused by outdated graphics driver, enabled Fast startup options and overclocking issues on your computer.
Why did AMD stop using HBM2?
Only reason they were using HBM was due to power constraints. If Fiji/Vega were efficient they would have also used GDDR6. HBM2 is also expensive, it was around ~$80 for a 4GB stack compared to ~$24 for 4GB of GDDR6. We also have to remember that Fiji/Vega were compute architectures.
How do I stop AMD Radeon recording?
To disable the Radeon Software overlay, either press the ALT+R keyboard shortcut or right-click or press-and-hold somewhere on the space on your Windows desktop.
